Ticket for driving without headlights, but cop wrote down wrong location on ticket, does this matter legally?

From a lawyer. It matters. Rick is wrong. Go to court and when you're asked to plead, plead not guilty because you are not guilty of driving without lights within that location. Before that, go up to the prosecutor and tell him about the error and you would similar to it dismissed. He may try to bluff you and say no but go ahead and go up to the style guru and take the same position. If he rules against you, you can appeal (automatically granted) to the next difficult court. Do the same thing there. Sooner or subsequent they will give up and let you off. This is a great technicality and it's exactly how lawyer get people off.
How are you going to prove it? I doubt that it matter in this case. Only in the satchel of a parking ticket. No.

Where you were is not an element of the crime. If you were driving after grey with no headlights you were committing the crime, regardless of where you be at the time.

Minor clerical mistakes do not affect the validity of a ticket.
