Ohio Labor law- night shift to morning shift?
I was wondering if anyone knows of a law that say there must be a certain amount of time between shifts? My assistant manager say there must be 9 hours between the night shift to morning shift. However my general coordinator schedules people to close until 9:30 pm then enjoy the same people open the subsequent day at 6 am. (I hate losing sleep, I can't even get home surrounded by time to get a good sleep... plus I have to get up up at 4 or 4:30am just to get to work on time). Thank you :) Zach- Even if I had to rouse up later, say 5... I still wouldn't have that much sleep.

There is a federal regulation that states 8 hours in between shifts. Call your state labor board. You can probably go to your state website and look up wage/labor division.
There is no required time off between shifts. Its not the responsibility of the employer you have to wake up up so early for a 6AM shift. traci: you are actually incorrect. There is no federal law that states this.
Ther is no such regulation. As a police officer in Ohio, I have "doubled-back" many, several times....within 8 hours
