What are divorce hearings like?

Tomorrow is my divorce hearing. They call it motion something or other. We went past to try and get the filing fees waived. That be all denied. Tomorrow is a divorce hearing. Someone told me that since we have a child, we might not even bring divorced tomorrow. We have the CS hearing first and then the divorce. How does divorce court work? Is it hurried or long?
Best Answer:
The hearing is usually held in private in the judge's bureau. Each side will probably express a point of view. The idea behind a private audible range is that the public has no legitimate interest in my a bridal ends. In the modern era, child support is calculated by a formula. Unless there is some large property holding such as family business the audible range should be less than 40 minutes. Each side should try to display report to the divorce judge and control feelings of anger. The notion is that there are two sides to any story. Child custody and a large estate would be reasons for a longer process. I sounds similar to the waiver of fee payments would tell the judge that this a small asset overnight case. The mother, all other factors being equal, will predictable be awarded custody with visitation rights to the father. An Opinion: your spouse and you should try to be flexible on the contested issues. The little lawyers in these cases want to "win." It is only just a divorce and the spouses should be best informed about what is reasonable. I guess I would not let the legal representative steal the case from you and your spouse. Unless someone is going to fight over a tv, the family dog, or other item, the audible range will move fast.
It depends on the attorneys and how much money you enjoy. If you or your husband have money the attorneys will drag out the divorce to increase their fees. It can take several years if your bank story has enough money in it. If the jargon are agreed between both parties it should be very fast, nearly 2 months.
Actually, the divorce is AUTOMATIC and UNCONTESTABLE in most US States. The PROPERTY settlement and CUSTODY issues are the only things to be decide. If you agree on these issues, and the court does not reject your agreement, you will be done alike day. If you fight over something, it could take years. It depends on the details of any disputes.
