Are you allowed to...?
Start a job (supermarket job) and quit after a week because a better job with more money (clothe store) have been offered to you after you took that first job? im 18 live in the UK
Best Answer:
You have to hand over 4 weeks notice in most jobs since you quit. However, some small jobs you might be able to give a weeks consideration. I think you'd be fine with a minor supermarket position.
Its rude, inconsiderate but yeah.
Yes as any breach of contract (minimal consideration period as stated in the contract of employment) will not be enforced by the employer as they cant be bothered to pursue it.
Yes of course you are. If you signed a contract you might entail to give notice.
Of course, it`s your choice....you may own to give notice...
unsurprisingly unless you signed a contract but if its a supermarket job you should be good
yes in the first three months any party can quit lacking notice or explanation. go for it
It's kind of not cool, but who care? They're probably paying you minimum wage anyway. They will just find another poorly paid drone to replace you. I've worked in a grocery store. It sucks. Go work at the clothes store. You won't come home smelling adjectives weird.
Don't even worry about it - work on the principle that contained by this day and age that they'd sack you at a moments notice if the need arose. Give 'em a weeks sense - more than enough.
yes you can leave, unless you hold signed a contract saying you will stay for a certain amount of time. which even if you did i don't think they would do anything. move about where the money is. x
Of course you are..go for it!
Yes you are but resigning will go on your record and not look completely good to future employers.
I think you requirement to give 2 weeks notice.
