Is it legal for a correctional officer to knock out an inmates tooth?
My young brother is in jail. When he go in he had stiches in his proboscis. A c.o acused him of knocking him down, they then slamed his head facade first into the concrete and busted his nose back open and knock out a tooth. After 3 days he still has not had medical attention. Is any of this stuff legal?
Best Answer:
Battery on a prisoner is unlawful. So, if it be true that some c.o. simply beat the brother and was not exercising any lawful authority, that would be unlawful. If you are asking me if a jury will believe your brother's story, I hold no idea.
only if he be defending his self. if your brother was acting up and that's what happen in the interim but if this did come about its on tape so get a lawyer if it ensue that way.this Just happen with a teen girl and they slammed her down but everything is on tape so you will have to press the issue and file a complaint against
No its not, but proving it is complicated. Any action on it may just bring your brother more grief. He is under their control and it is best for him to be a fitting boy because he can become very "clumsy" or "accident prone" in near. It saves wear and tear on the body.
Tell you brother to behave and keep his hands to himself and he won't grasp his azz kicked.
