What are your beliefs about the death penalty?
Do you believe the methods used, in general, are humane? Do you believe that are inhumane? I live in California and if you are found guilty of murder and sentenced to the destruction penalty, you get lethal injection. What in the region of your state?
Best Answer:
we use fatal injection also. i believe the death penalty is the best thing ever. i believe we should use firing squad instead though. much cheaper.
TEXAS RULES!!!!!
Mommy says that I shouldn't talk about that.
I believe the release penalty is about deterrence. If the threat of getting the death cost has deterred one murder, then it has save an innocent person. I also don't believe the death penalty is inhumane - that character has died in a more humane way than his or her subject.
I don't believe in the death penalty, extent! It is not justice, it is revenge! I just moved to the State of Wisconsin this year and this State doesn't have the extermination penalty, thank GOD! I lived most of my life in the State of Illinois, which does hold the death penalty and has noxious injection as the means of murdering the murderer! Yes, I did say "murdering the murder!" Look how many relations have been released from death row within the past 10 to 15 years because DNA proved they were not guilty! How many more might be proved not guilty as DNA trialling gets better as time goes on? What most people don't know or appear to care about here is how many executions here surrounded by the States have gone wrong and the condemned man/woman died horribly! There was an electrocution in the State of Florida final in 1999 where the man being executed have his nose broken before the electrocution even started because the guard put the leather strap that holds the persons chief in place in the wrong spot and the man could not breathe! When the electricity was finally turned on, the man, who suffered from giant blood pressure, had blood explode out of his nose and a large pool of blood formed on the front of the man white shirt! The judge who sentenced him to death found out and had the pictures the prison staff took of the man purely after the execution posted on the web and has now become an anti-death cost judge! There was an electrocution a few years before that within the State of Texas where the man being executed had his person in charge burst into flame because the cone on his head had a faulty lead! For those who think that lethal injections are "easy and humane" on the condemned character you should do a little research on the lethal injections that have gone wrong not with the sole purpose in the United States, but in other countries as well! Those are a moment ago some of over 60 cases I have researched on mistakes made during executions here in the United States that have cause the condemned to suffer horrible and very cruel deaths! I will never understand how any country that call itself civilized can pass laws saying that murder is wrong, and it is, and later go and do the same thing to a personality they convict of murdering someone! In case you or anyone reading this doesn't know, when a person in the United States is executed, the coroner by canon has to list the persons release as a homicide! Which the American Heritage(R) Dictionary of the English Language states is = NOUN: The killing of one person by another. A person who kill another person. Which in this country is a class X felony, and can get the murderer the loss penaly in most states, but you don't here about the executioners being arrested and tried for murder, do you? Life near out parole is on the books in most states and should be the worst thing that can be done to a convicted murderer! Peace
it works 100% of the time it's applied.
Some argue lethal injection is inhumane, I don't. I think the electric chair, gas chamber, flaccid, etc are much worse. Other than lethal injection the only other method I would consider humane is firing squad, fast and powerful.
