Should I press charges against my sis. she stole my 85 Iroc Camaro and totaled it?

Im 18 and my 17 year old sister borrowed my camaro without permission and totaled it. She be driving it last night while I was asleep and a deer run in front of her. She swerved to miss it and somehow flipped a few times. She didnt get hurt at all, but my Camaro is gone.

I dont know what to do. what would yall do?

I detestation her so much, I want to press charges
Maybe you can speak to her and arrange for her to clear installment payments for part of the value of the car?

If she refuse to make a deal with you, and you are self reasonable, I think you can sue her in small claims court. Assuming you be following the rules and the car is licensed and insured.
No for 2 reasons.

1) She's family and you're wacky right now, but deep down you love her. Pressing charges would irreparably damage your relationship and breed you a jacka$$.

2) She did you a favor. People like me would have laughed at you.
you shouldn't hate her for poor decisions, but blood only runs so far. personal agreements won't guarantee reimbursement, especially next to family. pressing charges against her will create personal problems between the two of you and maybe other family member and simply pressing charges doesn't guarantee payment to you. so basically you just be nice and ask her to clear you for damages and/or eat your losses. unless your sister is going to honor her debt to you, you'll have to chalk it up as a loss, unless you plan to sue. I wouldn't. next time mask your keys.
NO Your Still Young, and She clearly still Immature.I have a younger brother who did the same point to my car.I didn't press charges now we both have kids. Are exceedingly close and see each other once a week at the least.Material Possessions come and go,but loved ones is forever.Besides What if you need Kidney someday? SUESUESUESUESUESUE!!!!!!!!!After all,it was an Iroc, right.Besides that, she wants to be taught that 1)She could have killed someone2)she could hold killed herself3)could have been charged near grand theft auto AND driving without valid insurance,,and 4)you don't touch other peoples stuff-ESPECIALLY people. All these people saying stroke her bruised ego and forget about it aren't out a (sweet)car.Trust me , she'll still love you after you win within court.
