Does this violate the Constitution (continued)?

The Center for Individual Freedom (CFIF) last week filed a lawsuit asking a federal court to strike down as unconstitutional a West Virginia law that forbids independent issue ad during election periods unless it and other similarly situated speakers abide by onerous and constitutionally suspect reporting requirements.

CFIF file its complaint in the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, alleging that several provisions of state law are vague and overbroad, and thus violate the First Amendment.
While some states really requirement to update their laws (some are there since Washington was president), I agree the Federal governing body overrides too many laws that should be up to the states. Just as an example MEDICAL marijuana was passed by some states as official, and the Feds knocked it down. Why have states at all? In my belief, states should do things there own ways, so that people can simply move if they don't like their state's approach of doing things.
The states are supposed to have some say in how they run themselves. Big Brother is into too much of what should be state-by-state decision.
