do i have a law suit if i was falsly arrested?

i was positivity identified by a orlando police officer as a suspect in a stolen property case and i be arressted and read my maranda. i was detained for three hours.i was being transported to the orlando police department and consequently i was returned to the crime scene and unarrested
Best Answer:
Not really. You would enjoy to prove that the officer's identification of you was done though malice or incompetence; not of late a simple mistake. Furthermore you have to show there was some style of damage done to you or that you suffered some financial loss. Being detained for three hours will not constitute damage or loss. Even if you won such a suit (which is very doubtful) the best you could expect to gain probably would not pay the lawyer's fees.
Yes. However, you will have to prove damages. If you lost nil, and if no one knows you were arrested, your claim may not be worth much.
Get a lawyer . You have a trash suit . Personal damage to your reputation is what is in store .
No way. You can't sue the officer in civil court. You could sue the dept. But they will chortle you out of court. They detained you, mirandized you, then set you free, end of story.
