Moral question: Should I report my neighbor to Child Protection Services?


Have a mexican who lives next door in an apartment who blasts music all hours of darkness long while drinking and laughing with his pals. His son is in a reins chair and moans all day approaching hes retarded or in pain or something. This morning he was yell "Wake up soldier!" like 20 times at him while his friend and him were both laughing. Theres also a woman there but dont focus shes her mother. So should i report him to CPS? What will they do? Police have been called past but he doesnt care. He blasts away his music and restarts partying right after they leave.

You'll call for some supporting evidence if this treatment, like calling them during one of these events. It would also be helpful if other neighbors could bear as a witness to thesis tragic events as well.

yes plz call them,specifically an innocent child.Lord only knows what that poor child is being subjected to. Do the right point and report those inconsiderate idiots. They will come and do an investigation but most of all check on the welfare of the child. In my state of Virginia,you can report anonymously. I would hope they practice this in all states. Good luck. This is more of a bigot comment on your part, than someone who is really concern with a child man abuse by thier parents .But yes if you feel this child is being name-calling by all mean report them.
If you think nearby is neglect or even abuse you should call. And try calling the police when the carnival is going on. CPS will only act if they come at the exact moment that things are not right, or if they find proof of neglect. And even next people get away with process too much. other than that there is not much you can do w/o involving yourself. I have be through similar and I wish you luck with this. EDIT_ I would keep right on calling and even start writing down everything I see and hear, including date and times.
