Fast Food Workers In Indiana?
My grandmother is currently working in Hardees as a manager. She NEVER gets breaks she have to work all 8-9 hours of her shift. She has also earned her week break and has asked multiple times for it. When she asks her boss says we'll see then when he make the schedual he gives her three or four days off and then make her work for 8-10 days straight. Is there a law againts these offenses and if so can someone please post the link on their answer.
Laws in relation to breaks and meal periods are handled at the state height. Unfortunately, the State of Indiana has no laws requiring breaks or meal period. You may see the following link from the Indiana Department of Labor website:

In auxiliary, although your employer is required to allow your mother to have any vacation time outlined in her employment contract, the employer have discretion over when the vacation time may be used. They can even refuse to allow her to take the entire 5 days at one time, requiring instead that she break it up. Of course, if we gain down to the last week of the year then they won't have much choice since they must consent to her use her vacation time at some point during the year.
