Can I use images I find on the web?

Can I use images that I can find on the web for my P2P game?Like if I google it and find an photo can I put it in my P2P game or I can get sued if I do that? How can I find out if they are public or not?

I own not done this myself but have seen clear indications on Copyrighted material usually the item will right to be heard copyrighted stamped over it or a prompt box will come up to say copyrighted. There are sites where material can be freely obtain and others that require a subscription from you and where the site will pay a fee to the copyrighted company. If surrounded by doubt about a copyright get in touch near the company directly and find out what fee they would charge you. Copyright Law is pretty unforgiving and fines are high.
