If marijuana was made legal in the US, would you do use it?


Thats one thing that makes me wonder. Alcohol is legal but i don't use it because i would to some extent have something that tastes good. I can confidently get cigarettes but i dont. If marijuana was legal, im pretty sure i still wouldn't use it.

I personally support it becoming legal. I also live surrounded by a medical marajuana state so its around much more. But no, i dont smoke although many of my friends do. I think it should be treated like alcohol, restrict driving below the influence and whatnot.
hi. glad to here you want zilch to do with pot. leaves more for me, haha. seriously, i have medical issues and have used pot for years; it works. (a)grappler your siblings be using something else, or they have pychological issues. pot does not have such an effect. maybe get some dusted pot from a low life dealer. (dusted w/ PCP).

My marijuana smoking obsession wouldn't change by legalization. But a good case could be made almost legalization causing a drop in the use of weed. If you look at the Netherlands, where weed is legally recognized de facto, less people smoke weed there than within the US which has harsh penalties.

i wouldnt; i tried smoking regular cigarettes when i turned 18, hated it. i also tried drinking for the first time a few months ago when i turned 21 (im a well-mannered boy), also hated it.

i just do it occassionally when I want to relax and go to sleep. i am a good student student and enjoy a steady income so please, dont sympathize me and think im the devil. yes i understand it is not many people's, ehm, forte, but jesus the parliament might as well tax people for a plant theyll use any way. anyways i digress. i , and many other people, can and will use marijuana whether it is officially recognized or not. the legality of it really doesnt make a difference.

Yes I would and similar to millions of Californians I smoke cannabis in spite of the law. California spends 170 million dollars a year trying to eradicate marijuana yet despite the canon and all of law enforcement's efforts weed is effortless to find and people continue to get high-ranking. The prohibition on pot isn't working. California allows medicinal marijuana and hopefully will legalize it for recreational use within the next couple years. A legalized marijuana industry in California is expected to generated 1.2 billion dollars a year in rates revenues. EDIT: During prohibition alcoholic beverages were outlawed yet marijuana was still permissible in many areas. Did people turn to weed for relaxation? NO, they started getting their booze from the black flea market. There was no visible increase in marijuana usage during prohibition. If marijuana is legalized for recreational use surrounded by California they expect at most a 10 percent increase in it's consumption. Your NOT going to have everybody and their brother rushing out to try it.

But you failed to mention something that rose to an extreme high...... Violence beside prohibition you had a drastic jump in severity from gangsters running underground liquor joints. The only bombing Marijuana brings is in bad deals beside shady dealers or the police.....Kinda sounds like alcohol prohibition huh? FDR felt alcohol prohibition be a bad idea and how it would help the country near revenues. Well what the hell is Obama waiting for? Legalize today and save the world for tomorrow. If it was made allowed worldwide, I wouldn't use it, because I've seen two of my own siblings fall into a nightmare dream world over using it. No, thanks.
