How long will it take (aprox.) for me to go to trial? A guy is suing me re: a car purchased on ebay.?
The guy is from Louisiana and I'm from Houston, Texas. Also, will he have to come to Texas to file the lawsuit? Will it be hard for him? I reflect on he's bluffing. Either way Please Help! Thanks.

More than 90% of cases settle. The time between filing a complaint and trial date varies by county. Where I practice, it can be more than 18 months within some counties. If it falls under small claims, it will take less time. The plaintiff have the choice of where to file. You can challenge the venue if you'd approaching.
That is a question no one will know how to answer because there are extensions, judges get sick, witnesses don't show. It could be anything. I can make clear to you this. It won't last more then 10 years =) Sorry man but you will just own to wait and see how flaky this guy really is. Why is he suing you anyways? Does he have proof or will they have to find prior cases to back back them up. Did you say it was something on the internet but it wasn't really true at adjectives and you knew it?
this is a good example of why people should not buy cars on ebay. this is especially true for cars out of state. I know of a few disputes involving cars sold over the internet. You should have the opportunity to have a car inspected by your mechanic past you buy it. You cannot do that with cars purchased over the internet.
Usually takes days. No matter where you are anybody can report the lawsuit on the occasion of fraud, robbery, etc. the question is who is telling the true. We insist, contact an attorney.
