How do I get public defender?


I live in the state of pennsylvania and I need a public defender to represent me contained by court. My ex boyfriend and I had a child about 5 years ago. My son is going to 4 this week. his father was M.I.A. for 3 years. I dated him for 3 months and I get pregnant. I kept the baby and moved back to Pennsylvania from NewYork City because he told me to terminate the pregnancy and told me he didnt want to be a father on the other hand. The man is 30 ya'll. ugh, well anyways so after 3 years he comes back. he sent me an email and ever since he showed up in june of end year he has been nothing but a headache. My son doesn't even close to going on the weekends with him to NewJersey. He screamed for his step father the last pop in and thats when I knew something was up. So since then we own been having custody issues and he found an attourney. A private one. I can not afford one at the time but he basically requirements 50/50 custody and I don't feel he should have it. he is a stranger to me and my son. Does anyone know my rights, or how to get a public supporter?
