Father doesnt pay child support?

My father doesn't pay child support anymore for me any my sister and owes my mother over $40,000. He basically dropped off the facade of the earth and never talks to us anymore and never returns our calls. Recently he get an inheritance of $50,000 from his great aunt who died. We found out that he went on a trip to Vegas and spent some of it. He has given nothing to me and my sister and still avoids us, I surface as if he is being selfish. Is he being uncaring or am I being selfish to want some of this money? The whole side of my father's home kept this a secret for about 3 months until someone blabbed it out to us. Is my mother entitled to this money and how would she get it if he isn't keeping it surrounded by a bank?
Yes your mother is entitled to it, she needs to call child support services in your nouns and/or get a lawyer, go to court and enjoy his wages garnished. Plus now he can't get a passport if he owes child support, topical law, so please have her call NOW! GET A LAWYER!

You can't afford NOT to seize one. You are just gonna keep on losing money. Many lawyers will not even transport the case unless they think they'll win, in which valise they may not even charge you til it's over.

aim a lawyer. get a recorded phone send for of the family member talking in the order of the inheritance he received. even if its not in the bank theres proof in the will of the departed family member that he was to receive said money! so they will enjoy a way. but you really need a lawyer on this casing. you can probably get on to work pro-bono (without up front payment) if you have a solid case, which they will determine. later when you recieve the money from him you pay the lawyer. have your mother gain a consult with a good lawyer that deal with family issues. Send for the sheriff. He belongs in put in prison.
First, I am sorry that your father is a putz. You are right in thinking that he is selfish, he is, and his actions prove this. If here is a set amount that he is supposed to pay to your mother(not you or your sister) for the support of you and your sister, than yes, any money that he gets is subject to whatever the agreement be. If he does not keep the money in the bank here is nothing she can do about getting anything from it. Your mother can file papers near the city or state to garnish his wages. He can also possibly do jail time or lose his driving privileges.
Go to the county child support enforcement office. It is usually within the DAs office but could be separate. If in attendance was an order for support and he did not pay, they own the expertise to get it. If there was no instruct, then he was never obliged to take-home pay If he is not paying he should.. but if you think that just because he got an inheritance that you instinctively are entittle to a share, you are wrong.. Child support is for the raising of you kids not your own personal spending money...

One thing always to remember is.. here is always two sides to every story and when you are only getting one side it is usually very slanted to the ones side who is recounting you.. Bottom line.. you probably are not getting the complete truth.

If he really isn't paying child support I have no respect for him, but my point is you probably aren't getting the complete truth so don't be so fast to believe and aversion...
Chances are that money is gone or at least he will say it is or say-so he never got it.Thats super selfish and he could have give a good portion towards support to keep the law stale his back and help you guys out at the same time.What comes around go around so when they pick him up and eventually they will ;he will have to answer to them;shame on his dead beat ash too explanation thats just not right!I woulda at least gave 10 percent and get you girls a new wardrobe and spend some money on fun time with you guys ;he doesnt deserve you kids!I owed close to thirty thousand and my wife signed off on it ;because I spent money on my kids and help whenever I could she lifted the burden cause I was polite to my kids
;however still owe the state 11 thousand but itll be paid back in due time
