Out of these three, what appeals to you the most ....? AND WHY ?
1). Constitutional Law
2). Your Intrinsic Moral Code
3). Bible Law
Mature answers only please.
Thank you,
God Bless
1) appeal to the courts
2) appeal to your sense of values
3) appeal to god
3... Because zilch in the Biblical law is contrary to the Constitutional law, and my moral code is "guided" by the Biblical canon.
Have a right-wing day.
I'm going to begin by ruling out #2. We don't have an intrinsic moral code. We are born beside a couple of reflexes, and that's about it. Our natural response to problems is to cry or to bring mad and lash out.
Of your three choices, #3 Bible Law best approximates the idea that God is in charge. He created us, he know what we need to be happy, and he makes the rules. God the Father also sent his solely Son to explain his rules for us. The Son of God created a Church to safeguard his teachings, rather than expect everyone to develop a private interpretation, which would be anarchy.
Constitutional law is exercised over a very fixed domain, the actions of government. It does not govern the acts by which we gain and state a good relationship with God. Thus, we render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's.
Since the US Constitution is a brilliant work that looked to God's Law for guidance, it works beautifully so long as its objective is safeguarded by a Supreme Court that looks to its original meaning and forebears from imposing their personal morality.
Cheers,
Bruce
If the Bible Law can mean Jesus Christ's Law then I would choose number 3.....because to me adjectives His law boils down to LOVE and love appeals to me very much. Bible Law,because ,....i have tryed mines already.
It didn't work.
