Personal stepping over to professional?

I had a personal situation occur on the weekend. A phone call be placed to my daughters ex – singing a silly song that was inappropriate but not threatening any bodily harm. This comes after years of human being harassed by her and me never responding. She went to my place of employment and played the voicemail to the board of directors and demanded me to be reprimanded. They sent me a letter surrounded by full detail of how this was unacceptable. If I were to cuss out a grocery store worker – would that be point to reprimand me too? Has my employer stepped over the line of personal and professional? What are my rights in this situation?
none but then they hold none either
you can protest but why stir up trouble
If you placed the call, then you shouldn't complain.

If you didn't place the telephone call, write a letter to the board of directors protesting your innocence, citing all the evidence you can produce. You may also have a slander travel case against your daughter's ex for attempting to damage your reputation *and* hurt your standing at work.

Your employer has the right to evaluate you on any basis specifically brought to their attention.
