law question?
I need to find out to get a negligent homice charge off my record i was working when the accident happened i wasn't drinking or anything and was on duty for long periods of time
You need to get a lawyer to work on an expungement. They are not always simple to get, and there are, of course, no guarantees. If you lack financial resources, your local legal aid may be able to help. If they can't help you, try looking at the law schools in Michigan. Law schools generally have clinics in which law students, under the supervision of a licensed attorney professor, provide legal assistance for no fee. Start with U. of M law school, and if they don't have such a clinic, they can probably tell you which schools do. Good luck.
Why do people insist on asking law questions without stating the name of the state the issue arises in?
Each state has different laws regarding the time frame and procedure for sealing a criminal record or removing a guilty finding or plea. Either go to a law library in your state or ask a lawyer from your state.

I don't know the answer.....
but if you were driving for JB Hunt (rig) at the time maybe you can be considered to have been in a cult and get de-programmed by a psychiatrist, and that might help with your record.

OK do what the others recommend. Remember for the record though, if you're working too many hours and with a job that requires driving, YOU MUST cover your buns with both hands and all ten fingers because it's you in the end that catches all h-e-double hockey sticks. I mean did your employer step up to the plate when it all came down and say ,'Well yes we made this person work too many hours by threatening his life and therefore we feel that we are responsible for the negligent homicide.'?
expunge it
