Can someone point out to me one racist remark Rev. Wright made ?
I heard him blaming SOME white people for what he feels are injustices inflicted on black folks but I never hear him say "kill whitey" or anything like that.
Here's a link to what he actually said, in context. Notice that it isn't really adjectives that unreasonable and that the religious leaders who have endorsed McCain have said much worse. He called italians something to the effect of garlic nose, lots of stuff about romans and europeans, he said the n word, must I continue?
"God damn America" would kind of qualify. Read the church bulletin in which he claims that America has be under white supremacy rule. That is racist as is his reference to Hillary Clinton from his pulpit. Denial is not just a river contained by Egypt.
There be Rhetoric and God Damn America, shud not be encouraged (a) any cost.
He however, seems to make a pained facade at times on Television.Must be because they were slaves, like i am currently at my brother and Sister in law's home.
No way could he be racist because he's black, so it don't really event what the hell he said. Only whites can be racist. he sees his 15 minutes of fame
Lmao(a)god damn america...if thats racist i am the queen of england.
you are correct,he did not say aloud anything that wasnt a direct attack on certain white people, not white people as a intact. There were white people in the church, dont you suppose they might enjoy felt somewhat offended if that were indeed what he be saying?
I am white, and I dont feel all that different than rev writht on some of the topics he be speaking about.People have continued to say he be asking god to damn america...that was not what he was doing. He was truism that god WOULD damn America for some of the things we have done.I would probably have used different words to explain what he was saw,but then I am a suburban white guy,not an inner city black pastor. Why is it when someone like Pat Robertson says that 9-11 be our chickens coming home to roost,no one blinks an eye,but when a black pastor quotes him as saying it...its an outrage? Why can White preachers blame hurricane Katrina on gay people, and not a soul is outraged, but a black paster says that god will damn america for the things we have done its an outrage? My bet is that there are 2 dynamics involved here...first is simple bigotry and zilch more. Then theres a more complex issue, and that is that people are scared of anyone attacked again...rightfully so,and because Obama has a muslim middle name, anyone he is associated with must be lately about to fly planes into buildings. The Bush administration has done a wonderful post keeping people frightened, and apparently now the Clinton people own discovered the politics of fear work very well.If you in actual fact believe that Barack Obama is a racist, and that reverend Wright is any more than a pissed off 60 year old black guy, then you are far more easy to fleece than i thought wa spossible in this century.I think the fact of the situation is that when these people are alone with their thoughts, they know they are wrong, but as americans we have to appear tough and jingoistic,so they join in with the bash. Its either that or they are nothing more than racists who alarm a black man becoming president.I feel we are much less likely to be attacked if we enjoy a leader who is willing to sit down with associates who hate us and try to figure out what we can do to get along,a bit than a leader who refuses to talk and newly keeps killing people and creating more of a problem,But if you relations really want to live like this forever, just keep doing what we are doing and expect indistinguishable results.
How almost whites created HIV to murder blacks? Racist, paranoid and utterly stupid. The government gives them (blacks) the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike canon and then wants us to sing God bless America? No, no, no. Not God bless America. God da*n America.
And they will not only attack you if you point out whats going on within white America US of KKKA
What’s going on in white America, US of KKKA, black men turning on black men. That is fighting the wrong enemy. You both are the primary target in an oppressive society, that sees both of you as a treacherous threat.
Just a few of the racist remarks, also many anti American remarks and quite a bit of simple hate.
Um, you don't think the phrase Amerikkk is racist? Hmmmm. this sulky me. He called itallians "garlic noses". There is your on racist remark. Blaming white people for injustices inflicted on black folks is no worse than white folks blaming blacks for stealing all of their stuff. They are both remarks that are not entirely true.
