I read in the paper not too long ago that unless the boys parents let the boy testify the woman get off free.
Two cases I have read about have involved women teachers. Although in one case the woman did serve time now she is out and married the boy who is now of marrying age. The boys mother felt real bad for her going to jail.

Nope, it's illegal and would be considered statuary rape. State laws vary over the legal age, but I believe in all states fifteen is illegal...it has to be sixteen or seventeen, given the other person is no more than four years older.

Well, it may depend. Im not up on the current laws, but if you are just having a relationship, than that MIGHT be legal. However if its a sexual relationship, then in most countries its illegal.
No it's not legal and if you know this is happening you should report it. The woman is commiting statutory rape and should go to jail even if the boy consented.

If the person who asked the question is the guilty person, shame on you, if you know this person, how can stand by and let this child be abused. I'm even suprised that someone would have to ask this question. Anybody with common sense knows its wrong even you didn't know it was against the law.

I have 2 teenage children and I would be furious if I found out one of my kids was being sexually abused, someone knew and did nothing about it.
