Child abuse?
a few months ago, i had my hair down and i had a hoodie on, and she came to my school, and saw me like that, and she drove me home, and she started to threaten me.
examples:breaking my neck;breaking my spine;you get the point.
so we get home, but i'm not really scared, i change, and my mom get a 3x12 or something like that, because it was a piece of plywood.and then she started to beat me with it, while she was threatening to kill me.she gave me a 'chance' to call the cops, but i didn't because i thought she was going to have a little mercy.and i finally said that i would leave the house, and i did. I had to go back, and i regret it a lot. i had welts on my back and arms, bruises on the entirety of my body, and some parts of my leg were slightly bleeding now, she's saying a lot of crap, and i'm getting depressed a lot lately, about every day
is this child abuse, and what should I do about it?

Yes it's abuse. As a child I was physically abused regularly by parents and CPS failed me there but you may have better luck than I did. Talk to your school. They know everything about this and how to go in the right direction for it. It was my school that took notice of marks I had and went ahead before I even knew they had suspected it. I think that for reasons of proof, you need to have markings to show, but it can also be noted that there was an act of abuse and they will want to talk to you about it, and then discuss the situation with your mother and make an evaluation.

Hitting your child with a piece of wood is child abuse. Girl, you gotta tell someone. How old are you? If you go on like this your mom could either seriously hurt you or mess you up for the rest of your life. You don't deserve this AT ALL. She needs to get help. She WILL do it again. Please, please tell a counselor at school or a friends mom.

I dont care if you are sent to Africa! Girl get the hell out of there. If you dont do something now and get out while you are alive and able. She will kill you!
i think you need to get help before it's too late. are you worried about her getting mad at you for calling the authorities? if you call the cops and make a claim that your mother is abusive they will take it seriously. you should definitely call the cops or tell a teacher at school.

report this to a trusted teacher or the school counsellor. they are required to and will know how to help you. just be sure to tell the absolute truth so you will receive the best possible outcome. next time she offers you a 'chance' to call the cops, take her up on it.

Go have a talk with your school counselor. Tell him/her what has been happening at home. or tell your favorite teacher. They will help you.
