Should Alcohol be illegal? (Marijuana is illegal)?

Technically it should.
But it could and would never work. We have tried it already within the Prohibition of Alcohol when it was made an actual amendment. However, increase in riots, crime, and illegal deeds made alcohol legal again.

Medical marijuana is legal but smoking it for pure enjoyment is still unsanctioned.
No,illegal or not people still use drugs. Is better to own some restrictions for it. Well, it is a drug, and since every other drug is illegal, you think it would be too. Perhaps in the adjectives it will. Tobacco is getting pretty close to becoming illegal with all the latest laws set in place to ban it from public and what not.

Personally, I don't assume Alcohol should be illegal since its not very potent, or powerful, unless 'over-used'.
If marijuana is used as a benchmark for what should be illegal and what should be legal, yes alcohol should be illegal, and it should be classified as a calendar 1 narcotic.

In reality, prohibition of mind altering substances violates our basic rights and freedoms, so from a civil liberty standpoint, alcohol should remain legal.
Marijuana can not be made legal because it is a drug that alters the mind and does harm to the body even when used in MODERATION.

In layman's vocabulary, one beer does no harm to your body and does not get you high, whereas, one toke past its sell-by date of a joint does.
