Can some people really "not control themselves"?
I'm personally a Christian and I believe that God does not allow people to be tempted near things that they do not have the strength to overcome. With that said, I believe people often push their edges and find themselves in "uncontrollable" situations. Like when teenagers decide they don't want to have sex until they're "feeble enough" or "married" and they start out kissing, then making out, then groping each other, and they deliberate they're in control, then one day, they've gone so far that "it in recent times happened". You know what I'm saying? Like, it didn't just happen, it be a series of events that led up to the big one. Anyway, my reason for asking is that I was watching SVU the other dark and while I know it's fictional, I know they do mention laws. There was a 15 yr antiquated who'd slept with dozens of hookers and then raped a female educationalist. He ended up not going to jail because he "had an addiction and couldn't give a hand himself". Do sex offenders really get off that undemanding in real life?!
Your Honor, I am addicted to drugs, so I HAD to rob that retail store to recompense for my addiction.
Same poor logic as applied with the 15 year old with next to the hookers.
The drug addict has a choice to 1. not do drugs. 2. seek oblige. 3. commit a crime to feed addiction. Which one do you think will land you contained by jail?
Something is missing from the story. He has some type of punishment for raping a woman. He doesn't not have a "draw from out of jail" card cuz he is 15. I would like to meet his lawyer, he must be brilliant or the defense merely absolutely horrible.

We are not all created equal. Some people are mentally off-colour or have problems at home. Your beliefs are wrong. It is not that simple. Does that mean that boy should be off the hook? Absolutely not. But he may requirement real help and not jail time where on earth his behavior will only be encouraged. 15 & he's had sex next to this many? Must be a liberal fantasy! Addiction or not he committed a punishable crime & I don't believe any prosecutor is going to let that slide.
