I was living with some people in florida. they kicked me out without 30 days notice, can they sue me?
i was living with my husbands friends when his mom kicked us out of her house for something he did. he got arrested and i stayed beside his friends for 2 1/2 weeks after he went away. i got kicked out for accepting calls from him and moved out on the double. i was supposed to accept every call from the friend's husband when he go to jail though. they wanted me to pay 1/2 the rent and 1/2 the bills but couldn't adopt calls from my guy but had to accept adjectives their jail calls. there be no 30 days notice given and i had a hassle getting my stuff when i came put money on for it. i moved out of state and now they say i owe them $325 for rent and lights. there be no contract and i gave them almost $300 cash when i was here. can they sue when i live out of state and gave them money already for living there?
There are so many exceptions about what can happen, since they must own the house contained by order to sue you (otherwise it would violate their lease and they can't sue you for missed rent) since there would be little proof, they -CANT- sue you since you aren't in the nouns anymore. In order to sue someone in a civil court, you must file a subpoena surrounded by the county the defendant lives in. So if they live in Florida and you live in right to be heard, Texas, they would have to go ALL THE WAY to Texas to sue you. I hardly reason it would be worth $325 especially with the chance of not winning.
You shouldn't enjoy anything to worry about.
They can sue, but it will be the judge who determines if there was a contract or not. I know you probably own too much to write for the whole story, but my first question would have be if you were legally a tenant, especially since you say near was no contract. If you weren't they can kick you out whenever they want to and if they say you owe them they can sue. It doesn't anticipate they would win. they can sue. If their proof is better than your proof they may win
They are not going to bother......it would cost them more than they would get from you. Don't verbs about it, just take protection of yourself.
