Need advice on an Arkansas law?

Ok which law or clause states a 17 year old can leave the home short being sent back...I've know ppl who have departed and the family called the cops and they said there be nothing they could do because they were too close to 18......does anyone know and or have a souce for thsi canon or clause thing be much appreciated!
Im not exactly sure of that law and its contents but in most states these days if a 17 takes off,most wont and dont have the state funds to track down a juvenile whose only crime, if that, was to run away from home. Not worth the trouble o cost as chances are they would with the sole purpose do it again if brought back home. 17 year olds have been departure home for decades and most used to enlist to fight for this country which is really unheard of today. So from experience, its one of those laws that most law enforcement agencies wouldnt enforce anyway
