How can I get my PO BOX temporarily specially protected? Wrote a controversial letter to the editor?

I wrote a letter to the editor of the newspaper of a small city, but I am head of a anti-war group and we get hold of somewhat hostile responses being in the Deep South. The PO BOX is my parent's it is currently where I get hold of my mail, and so I used it thinking they would never print such a thing.

Now I am worried after already being told by one man that he hoped someone would "play the drums my ***" because most of his family supported the war and were at the rear President Bush 100%, that we will receive some kind of dangerous letter next to a razor or something in it. Are there already precautions or anything? Should I basically tell the postmaster to keep an eye out and never answer where our street address is?
