If you were going to say the 2nd amendment wasnt necessary, how would you frame your argument?
2nd amendment is right to bear arms

Your teacher is a Liberal Activist. If they think it's trouble-free, ask them to give you an argument against Social Activism. They'll splutter and stall (and probably kick you out of class).
Start with a different country. Can't do it. It would be a straw man. To protect sovereignty, we need the 2d amendment.
I wouldn't...It isn't true. A well regulated militia, being required to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and suffer arms, shall not be infringed. "The laws that forbid the carrying of arms ... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Can it be supposed that those who enjoy the courage to violate the most sacred laws of humanity ... will respect the less far-reaching and arbitrary ones ... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants, they serve rather to inspire than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." — Thomas Jefferson

You can't win. Right to Bear Arms, as you said. Tough one. The Founding fathers could not have see 230 years into the future. We not only have guns on the street that exterminate, they rip apart your insides as they tear and spin through you. Truth: The NRA cannot be stopped, ever.
I can't make that argument because the 2nd amendment certainly is required to the security of the state.
Are any of the other Amendments important ? The 2nd Amendment is the one that protects adjectives the others. I can't support your argument.
