Ive been refused emergency legal aid, does this mean i cant get legal aid at all?
If you were refused legal aid, next you were deemed financially able to compensate for your own attorney.
Generally, legal aid is only supplied to people next to very little (or no) money. So, unfortunately, if you have a unmistaken income, then, yep, you're gonna have to pay for it adjectives, all by yourself.
I think. Maybe the state grants, similar to, semi-scholarships. But I don't think so. You could research this yourself online, or call your local legal aid office and ask.
No, you may still qualify.
A refusal of ELA means either that:
(i) the LSC is not persuaded that you qualify on the presenbt evidence, but that may convert, or
(ii) the LSC is not persuaded the case merits legal aid at this stage or
(iii) the skin is not one which attracts legal aid at all, irrespective of merits or means.
Your solicitor should be capable of tell you which of the above categories it falls into. If he can't, the LSC can tell you.
