Do you think there should be a federal Law...............?

That allows US Citzens, and business owners to fly the US flag , any where they choose to ?

There had been a recent argument in South Florida where a homeowner was sued by his HOA for flying the US flag on his property. If I recall correctly, he went to the Supreme Court and won his case.

Should there be federal laws that protect citizens and business owners to be allowed to fly The American Flag even if its against an agencies policy ? Should such rights be granted to people who want to proudly fly Old Glory?? Instead of being sued because they are not in ordinance rules?
Well there really have to be limits. For instance, most places have a size restriction. Some businesses would fly a flag the size of a football field that could be seen from the horizon, not out of any great patriotism, but to make sure they drew attention to their location and product.
I don't see the need for such a law; the First Amendment is probably adequate.
Well, if he won his case at the Supreme Court what's the problem? The precedent applies to more than just the one plaintiff.

I bet you are one of those people who believes Christians in the US are presecuted, and that the War on Christmas is real.
I believe the first amendment covers it

Answer:
I think they should be allowed to fly Old Glory. But anyone who buys a home in a development that has a homeowner's association is a fool anyway. There is no way in hell I would ever spend money on a home that has a group of idiots in charge of what you can and can't do to YOUR property. All of this is made clear at the time a buyer signs. People always want the legal system to take care of matter's they could have avoided all together. I think there should be a federal law requiring people to use their brains and quit crying to the courts when they've failed to do so!!!
I think it's a waste of federal court time to adjudicate the rights of a person who wants to change the rights he waived when he consented to the property owners codicil. This is what is going to happen when there are 'privatized' governmental bodies like homeowners associations making rules. (Read 'Privatopia' for more horror stories like this one of the abrigdement of property rights by quasi governmental bodies of 'neighbors'). If you don't like submitting to the will of your neighbors, don't live in gated communities,
There should be no need for such a law. The only complaint would be if the flag was so large the noise was deafening.
